CITRA® HOPS US

Known for its intense citrus notes, this hop has quickly gained popularity amongst brewers and consumers alike and is widely considered one of the most popular varieties for hoppy beer styles since its release in 2007 by Hop Breeding Co. Ltd. Citra’s popularity is obvious for a reason, lending notes of intensely ripe citrus, apricot, peach, and lime aromas to beers. Its intense hop profile is in part due to its high Myrcene oil percentages and high Alpha Acid, despite not being a viable bittering hop. This hop pairs well with other varieties like Pink, El Dorado, Idaho 7, or holds its own well in hop-forward beers.

EXPERIMENTAL ID-158 PINK HOPS US

ID158, now more commonly known as “Pink”, is a newer hop variety developed by the Jackson Hop independent breeding program of Wilder, Idaho. With distinct aromas of ripe red berries, cotton candy, honey, and some true-to-form Idaho-dankness, Pink has quickly found its place amongst brewers as a new favorite variety, celebrating new flavors outside of the typical tropical spectrum in other aroma varieties. Pink does great in single-hop beers as well as paired with other aroma varieties like Citra, Mosaic, ID7, and Cashmere, and this high alpha aroma hop will lend itself to any hop-forward style of beer. Mill 95 is proud to be one of the first purveyors of Pink and to get to see this hop grow in popularity.
